What the day of the ceremony looks like
The farewell day starts early. By the time the first visitors arrive the hall is already settled: the funeral hall refrigerators are running, the temperature has been checked, the coffin and the wreaths are in place, the seating is arranged.
Through the middle of the day the flow of visitors grows, and one of our staff stays in the hall throughout. The family chooses the hour of the removal; we bring the hearse and the accompanying cars for that time and agree the route to the cemetery in advance.

Answers to Your Questions
How long does the refrigeration stay on during the day?
The unit runs until the coffin is carried out. Once the removal is done, our technician switches it off and dismantles it. If the farewell continues over two days, nothing is turned off overnight and the temperature is rechecked in the morning.
What time should the removal be set for?
The family sets the hour, together with whatever slot the cemetery can give. Early afternoon is common, so that morning visitors are not rushed. The hearse is in position half an hour beforehand: a Mercedes-Benz hearse from 150 GEL, the Maybach at 1500 GEL.
What does organising the day cost?
The basic funeral package is 850 GEL; a full package is quoted for the specific day, as the hall, the hours and the number of cars all differ. Transport within the city starts at 150 GEL, elsewhere from 2.5 GEL per kilometre. Cremation is arranged individually.
